About Vancouver Dietitians

Kate Stafford (she/her)

Registered Dietitian

Kate Stafford, BSc, RD, is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British
Columbia. She obtained her dietetics degree from the University of British Columbia and completed her dietetic internship with Vancouver Coastal Health.

Kate has always had a passion for food because of the role it plays in peoples lives. Food can be a source a creativity; bring loved ones together; heal the body; represent culture; the list goes on. With this in mind Kate supports her clients in establishing positive relationships with food, so her clients can continue to enjoy all aspects of food. Doing away with diet culture, she helps people establish sustainable lifestyle change to support patients achieving their goals. Kate believes in a patient-centered approach, in which your goals are held to the upmost priority.

Kate has worked in a variety of practice areas, with a special interest in chronic disease
management and prevention. Beyond diabetes, weight management, and disordered eating, she has also worked on inpatient wards specialising in gastrointestinal disease, transplant programs, and acute medical care. She also has experience supporting clients with pre- and post-natal nutrition at BC Women’s Hospital.

In her free time you will find Kate cooking or baking, on the mountain skiing, doing a pilates class, or eyeing up the latest trend in fashion (with a brief stint working in the fashion industry, she can talk about clothing and styling any day). Kate cannot wait to work with you!
