Aside from how delicious these are, these are SO easy to make. You probably have most of the ingredients in your pantry already, so why not give them a go?!
Adding chickpeas to brownies is a great way to increase protein & fiber. Chickpeas contain soluble fiber, which can help improve bowel function and overall gut health.
Here are the dEATS...
Ingredients:
¼ cup almond flour (can also sub for regular flour if desired)
¼ cup maple syrup
1 can rinsed + drained chickpeas
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 ripe banana
1 cup nut butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F
Blend all of the ingredients (except the chocolate chips) in a food processor until the dough is thick and creamy. You want it to be similar to a cookie dough texture!
Fold in the chocolate chips
Line an 8”x11” baking dish with parchment paper OR grease with coconut oil
Bake at 350 F for 20-22 minutes
Let cool for ~ 10 min and enjoy!
